Assalaam-o-Alaikum, Dear Students:
Here I am posting this blog from my hotel room in Virginia. The temperature is 32°F. So far I haven't said Hi, to president Bush. May be tomorrow.
I want you to respond to this blog very thoughtfully. This piece will eventually become a part of your portfolio essay or the portfolio itself. Don't be shy to write several paragraphs.
We have covered ahadeeth on moral literacy, such as righteousness versus sinning, justice versus injustice, leaving unimportant matters versus interfering into others' matters, good versus bad, freeing a slave versus enslaving a person, and fulfilling promises versus breaking them. In addition, we also studied the effects of being unjust to the environment and (which is actually to ourselves and to the future generation) and our responsibility as Allah's vicegerent. Keeping the above in mind, define moral *literacy* according to Islam and what could be the greatest injustice one may bring upon himself (of-course after associating partners with Allah). Please use several aayaat (from Surat Yasin) and ahadeeth to prove your point.( Due on Friday, November 16, 2007) Have fun blogging!

Moral literacy is like noble charcter. If you free a slave then Allah will save all of your limbs from hell. We can have noble charcter by being trustworthy and having humility. By having noble character is being hospitable and a Hadith is Abu shuraih al-Adawi is reprobated to have said that his ears heard and his eyes saw the Apostle of Allah say: he who believes in Allah and the hereafter should show respect to the guest with utmost kindness and courtesy. Some people asked: O messenger of Allah what is utmost kindness and courtesy? The holy prophet replied it is for a day or night. Hospitality ends after three days after that is a charity." Sahih Muslim.
Prophet Ayoub was very noble in his community. He was noble by being religious and in his coummity he had a very good reputation. So did prophet Musa, because he was the adopted son of the farow (Frown).
In this unit we are learning about justice and injustice. We are learning how it is not fair or Islamic to discriminate against others. We learned hadithes for example the prophet Muhammad (pbuh)said when a group of three is together it is harram for two to be talking wile the other is left out but when more come to add onto the group it is not haarram for two to talk because there is others for them to speak with. I think we can apply this hadith in our lives by speaking with all the three members in the group. We can speak of only what all three know about. We can also speak the same language as all three know.We also went into the details of how one of the best ways to ask Allah's forgivenes is to free a slave. To make my self clear there is a difference between a slave and a maid a slave is one who you may beat and they must do what ever you tell them to do without any wage being paid. A maid or servant is one who choses to work for you and you may not harm them in any way what so ever and you must pay them their entire wage. We have studied that you must pay those who work for you what you have to pay them before the sweat on their face dries up (medafore) what it means is that you must pay them as soon as possible. We also learned how we can be just and unjust to ourselves by simply following the rules to be jut or disobeying them to be unjust.Through out times we will hear people telling us if you break a rule the consiqunses will be this this and this but we will also hear people asking but what if we do this this and this? that is not what we need to focus on and that is not important. What is important is that just because of this little thing you are looking for thinking what will or can possibly happen and your not focusing on that this can ruin you and by asking and asking you are wasteing your time and can get into trouble by asking what is the trouble. so we have to think about this and see is it worth it?
Moral Literacy is just another way to say Noble Character. Noble Character means showing a strong or excellent mind or character. If you have Noble Character, you have a very good personality. The word moral means: the lesson between right and wrong learned from a story or event. The world literacy means: the ability to read, write and understand. According to Islam, Moral Literacy has an important meaning. It is very important to learn what is right and wrong. That is why the Quran was brought down: to teach us how to live and what is right and what is wrong. Also the Prophet said: “It is a obligation upon every Muslim to seek knowledge.” So as you can see Moral Literacy is very important in Islam.
There are lots of ways to be just. We can be just to ourselves, people around us and the world itself. You can be just to yourself by studying for a test and not allowing yourself to fail. Something very important is to read Quran. Quran makes us feel calm and peaceful. We can be just to others by helping them whenever they need help. Being just to the world is very important. We can be just to the world by not polluting it. There are lots of other ways to be just too!
Unfortunetely we can be unjust to ourselves too. One way we can be very unjust to ourselves is by disobeying your parents. Allah (SWT) says in the Quran:
“Your Lord has ordered that you only worship Him, and that you be kind to your parents. Whether one or both of them reach old age with you, do not say any harsh word to them nor push them away. Speak to them in kind terms.” (Quran 17: 23)
As you can see, it is very, very important to obey our parents all the time. If we don’t we are being very unjust to ourselves. Our parents try to help us as much as they can so that we may be successful in the future.
Moral literacy in Islam is good character and good manners. It is the good qualities in a person. Good qualities in Islam are to be a good muslim. There is a hadith that says, “One cannot separate good manners from Islam.” There is another hadith that says, “Righteousness is good character and sin is whatever bothers you and you do not want others to know about.” Moral literacy is good character and good character is righteousness. If someone is righteous then they have moral literacy. Prophet Muhammad (SAW) had moral literacy it says in Surat Qalam: “And surely thou art endowed with a wonderful noble character.” (Qalam 68:68).
Moral literacy is also justice. It is also justice because being fair is being righteous. If we are just to people you are being noble. There is a hadith that says, Narrated Abdullah ibn Omar: “The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: Behold! The Dispensers of Justice will be seated on the pulpits of light beside God, on the right side of the Merciful, Exalted and Glorious. Either side of the Being is the right side both being equally meritorious. (The Dispensers of Justice are) those who do justice in their rules, in matters relating to their families and in all that they undertake to do.” We can be just in many ways some are: being kind to others and enslaving slaves and treating them nicely. Moral literacy is also being nice and minding our own business. If we mind our own business we are being just to ourselves by not wasting our time and energy. We are also keeping our friendship with others and we are not getting bad deeds.
The greatest injustice one may bring on himself is: (murdering) killing one whom Allah has declared inviolate without a just case. In Surat An-Nisa it says: “If you avoid the major (part) of what you have been forbidden (to do), We will cancel out for you your (other) evil deeds and will admit you (to Paradise) with a noble entry.” (Al-Nisa 4:31). It is an injustice because it isn’t fair to kill one another. Other injustices are backbiting because then we are dishonoring someone, breaking a promise because that is losing your trustworthiness and making someone else upset there is an ayah that says, “And fulfill the Covenant of Allah when you have entered into it, and break not your oaths after you have confirmed them: Indeed you have made Allah your surety for Allah knows all that you do" (Qur'an16:91), and polluting. When we are polluting we are killing the earth and wasting the blessings Allah (SWT) gave us in the Qur’an it says, “Do no mischief on the earth, after it hath been set in order, but call on Him with fear and longing (in your hearts): for the Mercy of Allah is (always) near to those who do good.” (Al-`Araf: 56). Since we are vice gerents of Allah (SWT) we have to take care of the earth. He trusted us with it and it is something we should take care of.
Moral literacy is actually a lot of things; there are many ways to have moral literacy we learned a lot about these things in not just language arts class but in all the classes. We learned that to have moral literacy you should have righteousness and listen to your heart and your conscience. If you do not listen to your conscience you will end up doing the wrong thing and your conscience will fall asleep. Another thing that I think you should have to have to be able to have moral literacy is good character which is righteousness the prophet Muhammad (saw) says that righteousness is good character and sin is whatever bothers you and you do not want people to know about. The prophet also said that your lord has ordered that you worship him, and that you be kind to your parents. Whether one or both of them reach old age with you, do not say any harsh words to them nor push them away. Speak to them in kind terms. Also In surah Ya-sin it says that humans should consider the consequences of their past actions ,and guard against these consequences in their future actions .So we should always listen to our conscience and know are actions the good and the bad.
The way we can be unjust to our selves is doing some thing that will get in the way of believing in Allah ,will hurt you ,steep on the rights of others, hurt someone you love ,not praying or the things Allah asked you to do which is another way of disobeying Allah so basically anything that upsets Allah is being unjust to your self
The general meaning of moral literacy is learning a lesson out of something you read. In other words it is making connections with self, text, and world. The meaning that we got out of the discussion in class was to do the right thing and make the right choices. In Islam, i think it means to have noble character and understand what you are reading. especially while reading the Quran. We should learn lessons from what we read in the Quran. In class we learned about minding our own business and not commiting sin. This has alot to do with moral literacy. The more knowledge you have about something the more you'll know about it and try to avoid it.In class, we made bulletin boards about justice and injustice and how we are vice gerents to Allah. We also learned about the reward of freeing a slave. This has alot to do with moral literacy because moral literacy means to do the right thing. And that is what freeing a slave is about.
Moral literacy in Islam is to not just know but to understand good. It means even if you learnd and memrized something you need to understand it after that. Many people dont do this step and then it results in a weak religon. Most people only do the first two steps but you would know right away if you saw someone with the third step.
It also means to apply. You need to apply what you learn to your life to acually use it. Otherwise its useless knowledge that you just wasted your time on. Knowledge isnt something you know and keep to your self and live your life alone. It is what we need to make a impact on the world and if you arnt making an impact that helps then you are being selfess. People tend to know whats right but never to apply it this is one of the bigest downfalls in us. We all know what happens if we dont help.
When they say the Pen Is Mightyer Then The Blade they mean that sure wars change our world but would we really be where we are with out knowledge? The pen can make a much better impact and a much smarter impact then the blade will ever make in this world. We need to rember to apply what we learn in our lives to make this world a better place.
Moral literacy is very important in a Islam. Every Muslim should have moral literacy, and moral literacy is considered being good, and having a good heart. Everyone in the world should be good, not only Muslims. The white people were being unjust to the black people and it wasn't fair. They thought just because someone was a different color of skin, they weren't human, or natural. They didn't even respect the older people, and a hadeeth says "Respect your elders, and be good to your younger people." Thus, this was unjust to everyone.
The white people didn't have moral literacy back then, although some people didn't treat black people like most other people, there were some white people like that. Moral literacy is righteousness, so we shouldn't sin, and say we have moral literacy, because it isn't moral literacy. Everybody has their own kind of niceness, and they can follow their conscience and do what is right. For me, my conscience (if I do something bad) will bother me so much that I can't handle it any more, So I try not to to do anything bad so i won't feel that horrible.
Back biting is not moral literacy, and is very bad, there is a hadeeth that says "Do you know what back biting is?" The companions replied, "Allah and his prophet know alone." He said "It is mentioning about you brother what he dislikes." One of the companions asked "What if what I say about him is true?" He replied, "If what you say about him is true, you have backbitten, and if it isn't true, you have slandered him." So, as you can see, this isn't moral literacy.
Slavery is a very bad thing, however, if you buy a slave a free it, and treat it nice, than you do have moral literacy. We should be very thankful for what we have, and never say i don't have..., because a lot of other people have WAY less than you do, a lot of people don't have enough water, they have to drink dirty water, and here we are, sitting and waisting it by leaving it on when we don't need it. Thus, we have a lot to be thankful about, and we should always be nice and generous. As Muslims we should have a lot of noble character, and thank Allah every day for having a family, a house, food, water, siblings, things that most people don't even notice they have.
Some people think moral literacy is the ability to write and read but really they are wrong. Moral literacy to me is like your own conscience telling you always to do well. But your regular conscience tells you to do well and to do badly. As I said earlier that some people think that moral literacy means the ability to read and write but prophet Mohammed (saw) could not read or write but he has moral literacy.
And moral literacy also defines riotousness which leads to kindness and noble character and Prophet Mohammed (saw) had all these wonderful things so he had moral literacy. If you discriminate people just because of their skin color or culture then you do not have moral literacy. In Surat Yasin the rich people would discriminate and torture people just because they never had a lot of money.
So moral literacy is not to have the ability to read and write. It is to have good character, riotousness, and become an outstanding Muslim just like all the prophets. So always try your best to good and Inshallah we all go to Jenna. That is what moral literacy is.
Having manners and being kind and just to our fellow brothers and sisters, is very important in Islam and moral literacy. I think this because, just like life, moral literacy, Islam, justice and kindness towards our brothers and sisters all revolve around each other like a life cycle and without it you don’t feel whole and complete. For example, in the Qur’an it says that you should obey your parents and take care of them when they get old and not push them away. From my point of view this has a lot to do with both moral literacy and Islamic values because, obeying your parents is an order from Allah (swt) and by obeying Allah’s orders you are being just and kind and therefore being complete.
The reason I think that it is important to be just is because if you are unjust and judge people wrongly then you don’t feel complete. In other words never judge a book by its cover. For example in the story, Role of thunder hear my cry, I feel that, to make the story complete and whole, the author Mildred Taylor, introduced a positive character from among the unjust group. The reason I think she did this is because, she wanted to show us that not everyone who is white is unjust and therefore we should not be prejudice. For example in the story the Logan’s always thought that the whites were bad and evil and started to persuade us by showing how the Wallace’s who were white burned the Berries. But in chapter 7 something totally different happens, Mr. Jamison comes and shows that all white men aren’t bad by treating the Logan’s with respect and kindness even though he is white. For example, out of respect and kindness he called Big Ma Miss. Caroline and offered to pay credit.
The reason I think that the quote “Never judge a book by its cover” is the perfect quote for this action because from my point of view the Logan’s especially Hammer hated the Simpsons who were white. Also when Mary was talking to Cassie about white people, she said that some white people think that they are higher than others and better just because they’re white. But on the other hand Mr. Jamison and Mr. Simpson’s son is kind to black people and don’t treat them harshly. So basically if you see a white person you shouldn’t just predict that person is evil or mean instead you should see if that person is kind and noble. In Surah Yasin Ayah 15 when Allah sent a messenger the people said “you are only men like us; and (Allah) Most Gracious sends no sort of revelation: you do nothing but lie.” This ayah clearly shows how the people were quick to judge and blame Allah’s messengers wrongly, and call them liars.
Overall, the main moral or/and lesson I got out of all of this is that, you shouldn’t judge a person from whom they are or how they look. Also you shouldn’t do what the Romans did which was that they sorted and ranked everyone by blood or how the white men in Roll Of Thunder Hear My Cry separated from the black men and took them for granted. Also another moral and/or lesson I learned from all of this is that you should always try to be noble and kind because by being mean and unjust we only bring bad deeds to ourselves and in Yasin Ayah19 Allah makes this very clear when he says “What you call bad omens arise from your own misdeeds” and therefore you should try to be just like the Prophet(P.B.U.H) and realize that in Islam everyone is our brother and sister and we should be fair to them and treat them equally because they deserve the same right as we do.
In life, there are a lot of ways we can be just and unjust to ourselves. Some ways we can be unjust to our self is by, being lazy and just laying around and not getting any work done, caring too much about what people think or say about our image, eating unhealthy foods smoking etc. Even though by doing this you hurt yourself, from my point of view the biggest injustice that you can do to yourself is, ignoring your conscience (also known as your inner voice.) If a person keeps on ignoring there conscience, after some time that person will have a dead conscience. By this I mean that the person will be so use to his bad habits that, that person will not even realize his mistakes and forget that actions speak lauder then words.
During this unit the most amazing thing that I learned about is, how Islamic values have a lot to do with good manners and being a good citizen. For example, the hadith by Abu Huraayrah that talks about backbiting. After reading that hadith, I realized how backbiting is haram and how it can attack a Muslims honor and how it can attack your good deeds. Another hadith that I thought that was very amazing is the hadith about how the prophet’s character was like the Qur’an that was narrated by Abu Harayra. After reading this hadith I realized that if the prophets (pbuh) character was so good, we should try to make our character as good as him too.
whups if orgot yesterday and almost left today..... oh well i had it saved.......
In this unit we learned about Dualities like justice and injustice. We have learned about how Discrimination is not fair to anyone. In Islam we have to treat people equally. In the book we read “Roll of thunder hear my cry”, we learned that it was an ongoing thing that people used to just blame everything on black people.
People used to discriminate for fun but we have learned to have noble character and be literate. We have learned in several Hadiths that to be righteous in the sight of Allah we have to have good character and a strong Islamic personality.
It is very important to learn what is right and what is wrong because that will lead us to righteousness.
There are lots of ways to be just. We can be just to ourselves, people around us and the world itself. You can be just to yourself by keeping your body healthy. We can be just to others by helping them when their time of need comes upon them. Being just to the world is very important because it is our habitat until the Day of Judgment arrives. We can be unjust o us and others by not obeying elders such as teachers, parents, and leaders. Allah has told us in the Qur’an that we have to be just to everyone including our parents.
We have learned that Moral literacy in Islam is good character and good manners as well as a good personality. The prophet told us in two Hadith, “One cannot separate good manners from Islam.” And the other, “Righteousness is good character and sin is whatever bothers you and you do not want others to know about.” We studied these Hadith in class and have come to the conclusion that Allah wants us to be righteous and always stay righteous. We have learned that justice is important in Islam and Allah hates injustice. We should always trust other Muslims and we should stay trustworthy. It is a just thing to do for ourselves by learning (an obligation), understanding, and applying.
We have learned that as vicegerents of Allah we have to protect and preserve our plant. We have leaned to stop polluting. We now recycle more than before because we have learned about pollution and are actively trying to save our planet from the terrors of pollution and other things. We have learned to keep or planet in peace and never harm it.
Moral means lesson. Literacy means communicating. When these two words are put together, it makes moral literacy, which means noble character. Prophet Muhammad is a good example of a very noble person. He himself said: “Surely, I was only sent to complete the most noble character traits.” Also, the Quran says “Surely you [Muhammad] have great character.” (Quran 68:4). Also, we can’t separate noble character from Islam because you won’t be called a Muslim if you don’t have noble character.
You can be noble to others in a lot of ways, by being just to them. An example is not invading people’s privacy and minding your own business. When you don’t mind your own business, you get into a lot of arguments with someone because maybe you thought you heard them say your name and they were talking to someone. You might have thought that they were saying something mean about you, or they were backbiting about you. But, if they really weren’t backbiting, you will accuse them of something they didn’t do and it’ll lower them in your eyes. If you mind your own business, there will be no arguments.
Another example is not to enslave people. Everyone has equal rights. No one should treat anyone like a slave because you wouldn’t want to be treated like a slave. The golden rule is to treat others the way you want to be treated. No one wants to be treated like a slave. Maids are okay because they get paid to work and you cannot abuse them and they can quit whenever they want. Back then, the slaves didn’t get paid and they HAD to work and couldn’t refuse. That’s just plain wrong.
Moral literacy is an other way to say Noble charter. This word moral literary might have a title meaning to you but to me it means a lot and if I'm not moral literacy than I'm not noble Charter. Noble character is when you follow the strait path, be able too difference between good and bad to tell wrong from right and act open it. Actions speak louder than words so act upon the meaning of moral literacy.
Noble charter and moral literacy stick together. I have learned when I was younger to match words with pictures; now I'm learning how to math my dean, to moral literacy and noble character. Once I know how to match these I will be able to know why I should follow the right path , because I’m representing me, my Okuma and the world!
Now I know the meaning of moral literacy and how to act upon it. I have to cases in my hand, Cases of duality negative, positive, just, unjust, black, Wight tall, short. I can chose good or bad. I can be on the strait path or the wrong path.
Moral literacy is good character. It's when you show noble character. Noble character means when you are respectful, kind, well-mannered, and generous to yourself and everyone around you. There is a hadith that says "One cannot separate good manners from Islam". That means you aren't really righteous if you don't have manners. Having manners is a part of moral literacy. If you think that you pray and give Zakah makes you righteous it's not true. That's what the hadith is saying, you need manners to be righteous. So as you can see in Islam moral literacy is very important because you can't truly be righteous if you have bad character.
Moral literacy is also justice because being fair (which is a part of justice) is a part of being a noble person. When you don't mind your own business you are being unjust to yourself because you might hear something that you weren't supposed to and that's being rude. When you backbite or slander you are also being unjust to yourself because it's haram to talk about your brother or sister especially in Islam. When you talk about someone when they don't want you to, you are being rude and unfair. There is a hadith that says "Do you know what back biting is?" The companions replied, "Allah and his prophet know alone." He said "It is mentioning about you brother what he dislikes." One of the companions asked "What if what I say about him is true?" He replied, "If what you say about him is true, you have backbitten, and if it isn't true, you have slandered him." Backbiting and slandering is very bad. You shouldn't do it so you become a very noble person.
I think the greatest injustice after committing shirk in Islam is to do drugs because you get drunk. When you get drunk you may kill someone, commit suicide, rob someone, kidnap, (etc.). All of those things are haram. Drinking causes your conscience to just die. You stop listening to it completely and do whatever comes to your mind. You aren't a noble person if you drink. It's a very big injustice upon yourself if you drink.
In this past unit we have been discussing moral literacy, also known as noble character. We decided that moral literacy is the same as noble character because your character that you preform might be: mercyful, caring, just, kind... Those are just a few ways to have good character! All those ways contribute to a moral. The word moral means, to learn a decent lesson from what you learned.
Mentioning the word just is the opposite of un-just, just, is an example of a person who would NEVER, 3VER, treat an equal= person like you different just because of how Allah (swt) created that person and you!!! Also you would act upon how the Prophet (pbuh) acted. Examples of being un-just would be dis-obeying Allah (swt) by skipping prayer over a game nothing compared to reading the Qur'an, and Allah (swt) mentions in surah Yaseen, that the Qur'an is full of wisdom ! Other ways would be how some people now days still think that they are better because of how they look, and they think that others are nothing compared to them!
Every person in the class has a part on pollution, we learned how it's bad for us and the enviornment. We discussed in class that Allah (swt) says that anything we do that will harm us is har'ram for us, murdering happens to be killing somebody else, wich doesn't harm us mentaly, or emotionly, but killing somebody would hurt us in the afterlife, BIG TIM3! It also harms us in faith, one piece drops we continue our actions like that, all of our faith and iman drops down :(.
Seriously, what's the point of doing bad?? It's not like it'll help you in anything, it'll only help you in spending more time in hell! Wich isn't useful, i think that we only do it because, what else in the world is there to do? Well if we have time to go do anything why don't we just go pray, or make du'a or why can't we go make ourselves useful? Maybe those people out there think it's cool to go and be har'ram for fun!?

Injustice to me is very cruel. Injustice to me from an Islamic manner is that it sound as if you cannot no longer hear the call of the athan, it looks like you can’t ever see the Kaaba anymore, it feels like you no longer believe in one god, it tastes as if you haven’t earned this food the right way and know tastes as if is a flame from hellfire, it smells as if you have tried to smell the heavens. Allah (swt) said, “ Why should not I serve Him Who created me, and to Whom ye shall (all) be brought back. Shall I take (other) gods besides Him? If The Most Gracious should intend some adversity for me, of no use whatever will be their intercession for me, nor can they deliver me. I would indeed, then be in manifest Error. For me, I have faith in the Lord of you (all): Listen, then, to me! These ayat are from surah Ya Siin (22-25). This is what I( think injustice is from an Islamic manner.
On the other hand justice is a very important thing that we have and we must try to keep it for as long as we can. Justice is freedom, liberty, pursuit of happiness, and more. Some people think that back in the olden days, that everything was perfect. There was show called The Brady Bunch and they were like a perfect family, but to tell you the truth there is no family on this earth this is perfect, or has a perfect life, family or anything else. There are many ways to be just to yourself and others. What are some ways that you can think that you can be just to yourself? Well some ways that I can think of are that you can try to be the best you can be as best as you can be, have people that love you and protect you so that they can tell you if you are making the wrong decision, the opposite of injustice, etc. These are also some guidelines of Islam too.
It is said that you can never separate good manners from Islam, because Islam teaches us how to lead a righteous life by pointing out the right way to live. Any muslim who has bad manners such as swearing, lying, cheating, and other bad stuff are either a hypocrite pretending to be a muslim or is actually a very weak muslim. Islam also teaches great respect to our parents, and elder as a very important part of good character. Prophet Muhammed (s) said, “Whoever is not kind to our young ones is not one of us.” And I agree with him. What that means is that if you are not kind to people who are younger than you, but kind to those who are older is not a good muslim because a true muslim is kind to everybody. Justice to me from an Islamic perspective is that Justice sounds like the athan being called, it looks as you have seen the most beautiful mosque in the world, it feels like you have just prayed 100,000 times, it tastes as if you have eaten a warm cookie straight from the oven, it smells as if you have just smelt the heavens above. Allah (swt) said “They and their associates will be in pleasant shade, reclining on raised couches; (Every) fruit will be there for them; they shall have whatever they call for; Peace!-a Word (of salutation) from a Lord Most Merciful!” These are some ayat from surah Ya Siin (56-58). These ayat talk about justice in the heavens. It is very beautiful. That is what I think justice is from an Islamic perspective.
When I was writing about justice I was thinking about how muslims feel about justice in the perspective, and about how it is so beautiful and wonderful to be a muslim. Then I have talked about injustice and while I was writing about that I was thinking about unjust things that I think could happen to those to ignore Islam drinking, doing drugs, etc., and probably when they here the athan being called they do not ask a muslim oh what is that they just ignore it and go listen to loud music, and haram music. I have read that once the athan is being called that you must be silent because it is very important and it is the call of prayer. In my house when the athan goes off on the computer we are all quiet and make sure that All we hear in the house is the athan. Something that is also haram is pollution. I have written an essay on it and I would like to share it with you.
Land pollution is something that you should never be proud of. It can harm you and every living thing around you. Know you may wonder, oh but how does is affect us? Well it affects because it is polluting our land, it is causing PBCs, and it is getting us, animals, and plants sick because it could make us die. Know earlier I had mentioned PBCs, and what that does is that primary biliary cirrhosis (PBC) is a chronic (long duration) disease made by progressive inflammation and destruction of the small bile ducts within the liver. Bile ducts are lined with cells named biliary epithelial cells, the bile ducts are tubules that make up a plumbing system for the liver. The bile ducts along with the gallbladder are part of what is called the biliary tract. This is a dangerous disease.
Allah (swt) has created this world for us to live in, but Allah (swt) has not created this mess; we did. Not the animals or the plants, it was the humans. How did the humans make the mess, a lot of people might say. Well we are the ones that are not recycling and we do not care about where the garbage goes. Well the garbage goes to a dump or even in a large body of water such as an ocean. The reason why people will throw the garbage in the water is because the dumps are full of trash and they are becoming to be landfills. When we dump the garbage into the water do we think where it is going or what its harming? It’s hurting the animals and their habitant.
If you are one of those people who say oh whatever who cares, then you are truly careless. If this isn’t affecting you then think of it this way. Say that there were truck loads of garbage and trash, and everything had gotten dumped onto us. How would you feel? If this really did happen then everyone would regret about throwing all of this stuff away. Know you now how all of the ocean creatures feel, and this is probably why so many are dying. I have a cousin that had watched the Simpson Movie and he had told me that there was a part in the movie when the local river had gotten flooded with trash. All of the citizens had to clean it, and after they had cleaned it the mayor had made a speech about how they were going to keep the river clean. And after everyone had gone home and Marge (Homer’s wife) had told Homer about how she had helped clean out the river.
The family had forgotten to put the garbage out and the garbage truck had already came around the city. So Marge had told Homer to go take it to the dump. Well Homer was in a hurry so he quickly loaded the garbage in the truck. Well he thought for a moment about where he should take the garbage; to the dump or to the river that had just been cleaned. Homer as usual did the wrong thing and had took it to the river just because it was closer. So he went by and had dumped everything into the river, and then had rushed to the place where he needed to get to. When the mayor had found out he had gotten very mad and had the citizens clean it all up again.
I do not think that anyone would ever want to do that.
We should always keep our earth clean because we need it and we also do not want to get sick. This is a very serious issue, and we all need to put it to an end. Even if you recycle one box of paper it really make a difference. I hope that after you have read this that it has really made a difference in your life know that you know a little about pollution, where it goes, and what it harms. So please do your best and try to save the earth. Give a hoot don’t pollute!
