In response to Eleven (Due on Monday, October 1, 2007.

How do you think Rachel feels when she brings out all of her ages? If you were to choose to be a certain age, what would it be and why?

I think Rachel feels not just one age when she brings out all her ages. She feels 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 and 11. If I chose to be a certain age it would be 20. than I would be not only 20 but all the years before that.Or as Rachel feels i would choose to be
102. But maybe not beacuse than yes i would be very wise but very weak too.

I think that Rachel feels she wants to cry like she was three years old. She wants to yell because they said that the sweater was hers. The teacher also said it was Rachels just to make her mad. I also think that they claimed that it was Rachels sweater because they thought she was uncool or they think she is dumb. If I were to choose between an age of one to ten I would choose three. I would choose three because you would cry to your mom and tell her what happened. Then she could talk to the teacher and tell her it's not your jacket.

When Raichel brings out all her ages she is trying to say that do
not be afraid to express your self.
when you are ten and it is your birthday you feel ten and not eleven. when you turn twelve you
feel eleven and not twelve. This is
all normal. As Raichel said' when you are crying that is the part of you that is three. When you are scared of the dark that is the part of you that is still five. When you say something stupid that is the part of you that is still nine. when I bring my ages out I am exprssing my self and like being a bird out of acage.

I think Rachel felt sad and angry because she wants to feeup al grown and the truth is that you will never feel all the way grown up.You still feel like a little kid when you cry for something that makes no sense. When you say I am grown up and I can live my life by myself, you really cant because sometimes you just need to cry or be held in your mothers arms to feel calm and full of joy and life. Rachel probaly didn't fell whole and proud that she is eleven when she really isn't,she feels small and alone.

The age I would want to be is probaly 22 because you you have a job, you make your own money, and don't cry to mommy or daddy for some change or a few dollar bills. If you still do that you should think that it isn't ok to just beg for money when you already have enugh right infront of you. You arn't really grown up all your life you have emotions that come out of nowhere.

When Rachel brings out all of her ages I think she feels embarrassed that she cries. I also think she feels like a baby. But she is wrong. Everybody brings out all their ages once in a while. If I were to choose a certain age, it would be either nine or twelve because I think I had the most fun in my life when I was nine. I would choose to be twelve because I would feel older and I could sit on the front seat. Also I don't think my parents would treat me like a little kid anymore.

I think Rachel feels weird when she brings out all her ages.She may feel embarrassed at some times but she may think it's important to bring her ages out sometimes though may think her other ages are still part of her.She is still part of them because you can never be only 11 and be as smart as any 11 year old have to be all the other ages sometimes too.If I were to choose a certain age I would be ten would choose ten because it was the age I got to go to an entirely different place, went to a new school and met new people had no idea why but I never liked it in the beginning I think I was acting 5 or 6.Then I made new friends and realized the place wasn't bad after all.In the end I moved back and it was an experience I will remember for a life time.

I think that Rachel feels like she wants to be as far away as possible from everybody because she was crying on her birthday in front of her whole class. It’s okay to cry because when you are eleven, you are also ages 1-10. You may not think it but you will feel it. Think about it. When you cry, that is the part of you that’s three. Your ages one through ten is still within you. It’s just something that’s naturally in you and you can’t get rid of it.

If I were to choose to be a certain age, it would be age thirteen because I would be a teenager. But of course, just like Rachel didn’t feel she was eleven at first, I won’t feel that I’m a teenager at first. I’ll still feel the same but I’ll think I’m a teenager.

Well put your self in Rchel's position .The teacher is making the whole class think that the UGLYsweater is Rachels.Rachel probobley feels very imbaresed to show her feelings in front of the class.For example when she started to cry in front of the class it said that she could not believe she was crying in the middle of class and that she tryed to shut her eyes realley tight and to bite on her teeth so shye could stop.Also I think that Rachel felt realley mad when Sylvia said that she thinks the sweater belongs to rachel .


Actualey when I think aboout it I dont want to be just one age.At first i wanted to be 18 but if i am onley 18 then i cant cry or jump in my moms lap anymore.I think the world would be a horrible place if we all were onley one age because then prents can't have fun teens cant cry and babies wont talk .I like the world just how it is people being every age .And for those who act just one age ,it is onley human to cry act like your scared need a hug so stop acting just your aage and be every age out there.

I think she feels terrible when she brings out all of her ages because when you do, you mostly bring out when you are little. Think of when you were little, you used to cry because you wanted something to happen and it wouldn't, or you wanted something to stop, and it wouldn't.
If I could choose a age it would be 3. I chose 3 because when your 3, #1 you get everything you want, #2 because when your 3 u don't understand things as much as you do now, you don't understand how the world can sometimes be unfair to people and you can't do anything about it, #3 your always happy.

I think Rachel feels 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 and 11 and she also feels very embarrased. She also feels that she is right and that her teacher doasn't trust her. If I were to choose to be a certain age I would be 2 because you haven't started school yet so you can just relax. you also don't have to worry about anything. you are allowed to cry whenever you want and get anything you want. The only bad part about it is that you can't walk that good and there are also other things you aren't capable of a few things.

In the book whenever Rachel brings out all of her ages I think that Rachel feels like she is a little girl and not eleven. I think this because, in the book, the author kept on saying that Rachel felt like she was one, two three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, and even ten instead of eleven. In the book the author said that Rachel mainly felt like this when she was at school and the sweater incident happened. When this incident happened, Rachel felt like she was three when she started crying in front of everyone and two when she couldn’t speak when the teacher asked her if the red ugly sweater is hers and so on. When this happened I think that not only did Rachel feel like a little girl she also felt really embarrassed.
If I had a choice of choosing an age to be, I would choose five. I would choose five out of all ages because when you are five, it usually doesn’t mater if you act like you are one, two, three or four, because you’re always pampered and spoiled and cute and innocent. Also when you are five you don’t have to worry about quizzes, test and homework.
In life if you make a mistake you should never worry so much about what everyone thinks of you or how stupid you must have looked, you should always remember that these things happens to everyone and you shouldn’t put yourself down just because of one little mistake.

Rachel feels good because if she is a twelve year old she is expected secretion responsibility and if she is happy it doesn’t mean that she should not jump around and if she is sad it doesn’t mean we should not cry but if we want to show are other ages we should do it in moderation. For example if we get a bad grade we should be sad like a nine year old but we should be sad that hour and the hour you show your parents that we are bring twelve and nine at the same time. Secretion age I would be is four because you can talk and you wont feel pressed .

I think Rachel feels good and a little mad, she would feel good because she's explaining the truth that she's 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 and 11, she could be mad because everyone always thinks she's only 11 and that the teacher is saying this worn out jacket is hers on her birthday. If I were to choose an age it would be 3 or 4 because it was cute when I wore those cute butterfly shirts and dresses with bows. Also I think I would be 3 or 4 because I wouldn't get a lot of homework or maybe even no homework and I wouldn't have full days of school.It would be fun to stay home , spend time with your family, and play. I am still happy with my age now but I think age 3 and 4 were the best.

I think that when Rachel is 11 she still feels like shes 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2 and 1. And that she still wants to be the ages that se was in the past. And in the book she was crying like she was 3 years old. And the age i would want to be would be 1,2 or 3 because I think that it is fun to be a baby.

If I was able to stay at any age I would want it to be near age 20. I would chose this because it is when you are in your prime age. You can do what your normal tasks are but with ease. It is a time when you are able to do things you wont be able to do from other ages.
The knowledge level you are at when you are near this age is enoguh to be able to survive or keep you alive and know what is happening. You can use this knowledge only at this age as well. Maybe you need to climb a tree to get your food but either your to old and can't make it or you're to young and can't reach the branches. The elders may have more knowledge but they can't use their body to do things as well as a young man would be able to. The same rule would apply to the younger ones.
This is why I think the best age to stay at is near 20. You're point of view on how to live is much diffrent than the young people and the elders because they use diffrent methods of getting what they need. They know they are old and can't climb the tree and things like that so they have other ways to get what they need even if it takes longer.

I think that Rachel feels 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 & 11 when she acts out how she feels according to her life. If I were to choose any age i think that I would pick age 19. I would pick age 19 because if we had to be stuck in the ages of high school or elementary or middle school we wouldn't get a job or we wouldn't be able to make business. Rachel doesn't feel confident being one age, that is 11.
